The first EOS camera range comes with Wi-Fi, EOS 6D allows photographers to transmit images immediately after the shoot ended. They can be transferred wirelessly to external storage media, uploaded to Facebook or YouTube, or printed directly on Canon equipment with Wi-Fi connectivity. Alternatively, images and video clips can be viewed on HD TV with DLNA function. By connecting wirelessly to a smartphone, the camera can be controlled remotely or focus settings can be changed can be used shutter and even view images.
Unlike previous full-frame cameras from Canon 6D does not include a control connector and studio flashes can not sync with them than at a speed up to 1/180 seconds. Also on the list are exchanged equipment and memory card slot, which is now in SD format. Probably all to cut costs, the new 6D is not entirely made of magnesium, but from a combination of metal and polycarbonate similar devices in cheaper ranges of Japanese manufacturer. With integrated GPS function, the images stored geographic coordinates of where the photo is taken right at the onset.
Measuring just 144.5 x 110.5 x 71.2 mm and weighing 770 grams, EOS 6D is the most compact full-frame DSLR Canon has ever produced. EOS 6D has protection against dust and dripping and a configuration similar to the buttons on the EOS 60D.
